TOK^®-Band Spezial Rundstrang

TOK^®-Band Spezial Rundstrang is made from the same material as the  TOK^®-Band Spezial bitumen joint tape, which has proved itself over many years. This round profile version is used for sealing cracks. These can be cracks that are wider than 5 mm. The round profile strip is worked into the cracks to fill them. Further possible uses are sealing transverse joints on bridge construction and miscuts in asphalt surfaces. "Cross sections" that develop at the corners when rectangular pieces of asphalt are cut can also be sealed using the round profile strip.

Application

When applying TOK^®-Band Spezial Rundstrang, the following must be taking into account:
• A primer should always be used. Only use a primer that complies with manufacturer's information.
• At low temperatures, the material should be pre-warmed with a burner, as it is easier to apply in a warmed condition.
• The material must be worked into the cracks. "Laying on" the round profile strip is not enough.

Delivery

TOK^®-Band Spezial Rundstrang is available for delivery in  8 und 10 mm diameters. The quantity in the cartons is six layers each with a length of 10.0 m for 8 mm diameter (equals 60 m/carton) and six layers each with a length of 7.0 m for the 10 mm diameter (equals 42 m/carton).
