BUTYLEN-Tape AS 39P
Asymmetrical 3-ply synthetic tape with a stabilized polyethylene carrier film, coated on both sides with a permanently plastic synthetic compound on a butyl rubber base. The highly stable and supple carrier film ensures a high degree of resistance to mechanical damage. BUTYLEN-Tape AS39P will amalgamate in the overlap area and between the individual wrapping layers. The result is a sleeve-like, mechanically highly resistant and stable coating, practically impermeable to water vapor and oxygen. The thick gray butyl rubber layer means the tape conforms particularly well to the underlying surface (e.g. weld bead and factory coating edges).
