BUTYLEN-Tape N60
Asymmetrical butyl rubber tape with overstretch protection layer.
BUTYLEN-Tape N60 will amalgamate in the overlap area and between the individual layers of the wrapping. The result is a sleeve-like coating, practically impermeable to water vapor and oxygen. The thick gray butyl adhesive layer conforms particularly well to the structure of the underlying surface (e.g. weld beads and factory coating edges).
BUTYLEN-Tape N60 is used in the BUTYLEN® system N60/S20 in a 4-ply wrapping (2 layers N60, 2 layers S20) under the DIN DVGW registration number NV-5180BN0071, as a stress class C-50 system.
